Et voilà, j'ai réussi à finir la lettre, raconter sa vie c'est facile mais en anglais tout se complique ! mais au final je m'en sort pas trop mal, il y a surement plein de fautes mais parait-il sa fait le charme des français lol!

Dear Host family,
Hi! My name is Mélanie, I am eighteen years old. I live in France, in a small city between
Nice and Cannes, which is called “La Colle sur Loup” on the French Riviera. I live with my
mother and my father. I have got one sister, who is 25 years old, but she lives in
Luxembourg. My father works in a hotel and my mother doesn't work. I am close to my
family and I love spend time with them.
At the beginning for my family it was difficult to accept my travel but my dream is to go to
the United States so, now, they are with me and support me.
Something else, I like reading, making puzzles, cinema. I have a swimming pool so I enjoy
swimming. As a lot of girl, I like to go to the shopping with my friends. And often I cook or I
bake lots of kind of cake or cookies, also with children. My mum teach me knitting, I like
but it's the beginning so I knit just scarf and small things. I enjoy skiing and walking, for
example on the beach or in the park.
I have been dancing since I am 6 years old, I love dancing and the people who dance with me.
For me it's a real pleasure.
But my favourite hobby is travel in order to meet new people and discover new
countries. I travel with my family, we went to Italia, to Belgium, to Tunisia.
I also travel with teenagers like me. For example, on summer 2005
I went to England for 3 weeks with a group of French people, on 2006 I went to
Scotland and to Sweden. Last year, I went to Canada for one month, it was very great. I
discovered a lot of things, city, habits and it was very beautiful!
But, moreover, the first reason why I decided to become an Au Pair in the USA
is to spend a lot of time with children and take care of them. I have made
baby-sitting since I am 15 years old. But before, already, I took care of my cousins in my family.
This year, every Saturday morning, I take care of 2 girls who are 6 and 10 years old. I love this
girls, they are very great and nice. Sometimes, I help the ten-year-old with her homework, it's
not very fun, but it's for school and it's very important. So sometimes, when she doesn't want
for example learning multiplication table I make up one sing and we sing together, it's
more easy for her. Often, we cook and bake cake together. One time the younger ask me to
make a cake for the sister's birthday. We did it, she was very happy and her sister too. They
have a garden and a swimming pool so when the weather is good we play outside.
For example we play hide-and-seek or in an imaginary castle!
Usually, Saturday evening I take care of 3 girls (3,6 and 9) or 2 twin boys (5 years old).
I play with them. Sometimes we watch TV after I prepare dinner and we eat together. I help
the younger prepare for going to bed and I read him stories before sleeping. With the other we
play board- game, or with girl we do “jewel” with pearls.
I am patient, very neat and clean, creative, artistic, social, responsible, caring so you will be able
to entrust your children, have no fear.
An other reason because I am excited to go to the USA is that I would like to discover the
life and improve my English. After my experience as an Au pair, I would like to become a flight
attendant that's why my language is very important.
I know to be an Au pair in the USA it's a very great experience in my life perhaps with you...
